SABA FABRICS is a company established in Sant Llorenç Savall, a town near Barcelona. From our offices and facilities, we manufacture our technical fabrics, controlling the entire production process and following strict quality and sustainability standards with the purpose of providing the market with different, innovative fabrics with high social and environmental values.
With the “ECOIKAT” collection, we are inspired by “IKAT,” an ancient technique that spread across the five continents and that still survives in many countries in an artisanal way. IKAT derives from the Malay term “mengikat” (to tie, to knot, to wrap) and the technique consists of dyeing the warp threads of the fabrics in a specific way, achieving original, authentic and different designs once woven with the weft.
For the collection, we have developed our own process to develop technical fabrics imitating this unique technique. A collection with designs inspired by Mediterranean cultures with the most emblematic colors such as blue, turquoise, mustard yellow, red, indigo, etc.
ECO Inks
The inks used in the fabrics are certified under the OEKO-TEX PASSPORT global ecological seal, guaranteeing that they are free of toxic products.
Waterproof
For the waterproofing of our fabrics, we use environmentally friendly products of biodegradable origin certified with the OEKO-TEX PASSPORT seal.
